Zoo Lights

Every year we go visit the zoo the day before Thanksgiving.. we missed it this year so we went for the zoo lights instead and it was really cool! They do an awesome job! Don't go the last weekend they offer it though.. the lines were crazy!
My crazy sisters, me and my friend Claudia (from Denver Kids) posing for a shot... Claudia thought my sisters were fun, but crazy and definitely did not act their age! (In a good way..)
To anyone familiar with the phrase "she has a sweet spirit" I like this one a little better...
Jamie kissing a caribou.. almost..
Jenni and Jamie pretending to be seals.. they almost blended in..
The lights were so magical! Parts of it were like a really frozen dream... or a cold version of childhood.. either way it was good!

Christmas Fun

Jenni and me cookin' up a storm. This is one of my favorite things about Christmas.. all the good food, and cooking with my mom & sisters.
Rob got bored & needed some action so he took his snowboard down the driveway a few times & luckily got rides back up on the plow, as the driveway is fun to go down, but not such a blast to go back up. We didn't get any picture of Rob, Jamie and me sledding... also a ton of fun!
The ladies enjoying the hot tub on this chilly night. This felt SO good in this cold weather!

Rob and I having fun with presents.. I got some nice goggles, and Rob loved his riding collages, which are now proudly displayed in our hallway.
Jenni and I after an exhausting tree set-up..
We made Rob do all the work while we played... actually I think he was just bored and volunteered for this job... notice how all the wood is stacked on the tail-gate rather than in the bed.. yes he drove it down that way... Rob has to make everything a little more challenging..
Our white Christmas... it was beautiful!!
Jespersen family photo... it was freezing! Probably about 8 or 10 degrees here... it was fun to be with the family though.

Rob's Christmas

This is Rob's Christmas present... and birthday present... and next Christmas too... just kidding, he has actually been very patient over these past three years, and has waited all this time to get a bike... and he deserves it!
This is what Rob was doing most of Christmas... and what he wishes he could do every weekend... luckily the bike is kept in my dads garage up in Conifer so I still get to see my husband occasionally.

DC Trip

Ok, a little back-dated, but this is the biggest trip (oh wait, only trip..) that Rob and I have been on, and so I thought it would be perfect for my first post! (well first with pictures).. Obviously we went to Washington DC this past September. Best time of year to go!

Rob and I at the capital... taking a breather, we packed as much as we could into three days.. we were running half the time, but it was worth it!

The Lincoln Memorial was by far my favorite. There was just something reverent about it, it was an amazing place. Everything there is larger than life, and for someone who likes history, its a magical place!
Kimi was our hostess and tour guide, and we highly recommend her for anyone thinking of traveling back East, she knows the shortcuts to everything, she made our trip so easy and so nice! Not to mention we just love her company!
National Air and Space Museum was awesome, yes this is the Top Gun Plane... we saw a lot of cool stuff there including the Enola Gay, a Hellcat (which my grandpa flew in WWII), and the Space Shuttle Enterprise
Arlington was awesome, we got to do this with Rob's family, and it was nice to have someone else who enjoys history, so thank you Marti! Rob was pretty good about all the sight-seeing really.
The temple was a major highlight, it was just as beautiful as everyone says, and just kind of jumps out of no where.. Next time we'll have to go inside.

And... the real reason we went to DC... not because I love history and majored in Poli Sci... but rather because for the first time in 25 years the Motocross of Nations was held in the US, in Buddscreek Maryland. (You've got to love those hidden motives!) The race was great though... I won't give a re-cap because I got totally made fun of last time I did that.. but, needless to say the US won, I was happy to see Ricky Carmichael the GOAT, Alyson was happy to see Ryan Villopoto, and the guys were totally in their element and loved the whole thing... even the post-race festivities were fun(ny), such as getting our rear-view mirror torn off and sitting in LOTS of traffic..

Caving In

Ok... I'm doing it... I'm giving in... I held out for a while, but in the end, you cave-in or miss out on this whole world of social interaction... My number one excuse for not making one sooner is that we have no kids! What fun is it looking at Rob and I?? But... we actually have been kind of fun lately, so I figured 'why not!' 'what the hay!' and so it begins...
